THIS HOLIDAY IS FOR THE MORE RUGGED OF OUR CUSTOMERS WHO WANT TO BE PHYSICALLY TESTED BUT ALSO NEED SOME RELAXATION

Whilst this is no endurance test you need to be fit and have a desire to explore and learn about the natural environment. You will be trekking and camping deep in the jungles of Thailand - beautiful fertile rainforests full of exotic wildlife that you will encounter on a daily basis. We also include a one day tour of Bangkok and finish on a exclusive and private beach where you can undertake many water sports.

Day 1
Arrive Bangkok airport, meet our staff and transfer to the hotel in Bangkok. Have rest at the hotel after long flight or can go out for sight seeing (optional)
Overnight: Royal River hotel (Superior river view room)

Day 2
Depart from your hotel sharp at 0700 for the transfer to the famous floating market which is 40 kilometres away from Bangkok. Take canal though the river seeing locals selling fruits, handicrafts and eatables in the canal. Start driving back to Bangkok and head straight to Wat Phrakaew temple and Grand Palace followed by Wat Po Temple and the stunning Wat Arun, across the river. Transfer back to your hotel late evening. Free to have dinner on your own.

Day 3
Depart from your Bangkok hotel at 0700 for the 2-hour transfer by private vehicle to Khao Yai. Stop for a short familiarisation briefing from your guide before you head off into the forest. This jungle safari provides an adventurous and stimulating insight into the forests and wildlife of Khao Yai, Thailand's oldest national park. Khao Yai contains beautiful forests, some 2,000-2,500 plant species, over 350 bird species, and large mammals including elephants, white handed gibbon, gaur, Asiatic black bear and wild dog etc. As you trek through the forest be on the lookout for gibbons and the myriad of birds that inhabit this area. After trekking about 7 kilometres reach the sight where you will relax in the dinning tent before setting off for the final leg to the overnight camp. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing or bird watching around the camp. After a hot shower, settle down to dinner under the stars. Around 8pm, head out on a night walk with your guide to look out for nocturnal wildlife in the grasslands. Possible wildlife sightings include sambar, porcupine, palm civet, small Indian civet and barking deer.

Day 4
Your wake up call is a hot fresh cup of coffee or tea delivered to your tent by our camp staff. Spend the first hour of daylight bird watching and looking out for wildlife around the camp before settling in to a hearty breakfast. Depart the camp for a morning walk to track down a family of pig-tailed macaque and some large mammals that inhabit the area. Have lunch before carrying on trekking deeper into the jungle. Reach the new sight to spend overnight.The field team will set up the tents,during which you can head to the mineral licks to try you luck with wildlife. Return to camp in time for supper.

Day 5
Up early for wildlife and bird watching before breakfast. Leave the camp around 9am with a pack lunch (sandwiches and fruit) for the start of the walk out of the forest. Today you will head out on a different route, which takes you through forest inhabited by a number of elephant families. Exit the trail and head to the famous Haew suwat waterfall for traditional lunch , later head on to a crocodile trail for 2 hours trek. In the evening trek down  the Haew Narok waterfall - often in this area the wild elephants are encountered. Head on a night safari spotlighting before driving to the resort for a relaxing dinner.

Day 6
Have breakfast at the resort and start driving to Kanchanaburi, stop at the famous River Kwai bridge before heading to the Wang Badal cave for an hour trek to the Saiyoke Noi waterfall. Have lunch and head to the elephant camp for elephant trek, have bath with elephants and then go on a flat river rafting, the water flow speed depending on the time of year. Reach your resort late evening for dinner & overnight.

Day 7
Head to the famous 7 tiered erawan waterfall, hike upto the seventh tier , you can swim in the crystal clear water before exit the forest. Reach Kanchanaburi town for lunch before taking 2 hours drive to Kaeng Krachan. Drive into the park to the camping group where you will spend a night in a tent. At the campsite often porcupines or slow loris are recorded.
Overnight: Tent at campsite. Walking Distance: 1 kms.

Day 8 -9
After breakfast head on a nature trail across a small stream through the lush evergreen forest for the ecosystem studying, wildlife, birds, plants and insects observing with your leader and field porters. Spend 2 full days trekking in the Jungle.

Day 10
Exit the forest late afternoon for the transfer to an exclusive and private beach resort in Talu Island, near Hua Hin where you can relax. Our guide will take you for traditional Thai massage so you can relax your body after your previous walk. Back to your resort and you are free to have dinner on your own.
Overnight: Casadel Mare Hotel.
Walking Distance: 5 kms.

Day 11
Leisure on your own. There are a number of inclusive activities such as diving, snorkling,

Day 13
Depart around 0830 for the transfer to Bangkok. Reach Bangkok and head to your hotel located in the shopping area. Spend rest of the day on your own. In the evening the guide will take you to the famous night market where you can have you dinner and buy gifts etc.
Overnight: Baiyoke Sky hotel. Walking Distance: 5 kms.

Day 14
Our guide will meet you in time at the hotel to drop you at the airport. Reach airport. End of our services.

Notes:

Talu Island ( one of the most beautiful & peaceful Island away from crowd) where you can snorkel, dive, fish etc. The overnight would be in a Thai house beautifully built.

Things to Bring:

  • Light walking boots or sports shoes
  • Do NOT forget your camera. You will see so much wildlife that you must bring as many photcards or film as you can.

  • Long trousers and long-sleeve shirts for walking in the forest, as mosquitoes and leaches abound!
  • Jumpers during November to March
