Spend the night deep in the forest in our deluxe tented camp with large comfortable sleeping tents, large dining tent with mosquito net, hot shower, freshly prepared Thai dishes and cold drinks. Erawan National Park is a unique and rugged landscape of high elevation plateaux and steep valleys located three hours drive from Bangkok.
Erawan’s forests support an amazing array of plants and a diverse range of wildlife, from minute brilliantly coloured insects to tigers and the mighty Asian elephant. Although they are there, getting to see large mammals such as wild elephants and tigers is difficult so, although we strive to maximize the likelihood of a sightings, we also emphasise the importance of using good “ecological detective work” to reveal the secrets of the forest.
Possible wildlife sightings include primates (macaques and gibbon), civets, slow loris, hornbills and a range of other bird life. We will see some of the forests edible plants and take a night walk to investigate the myriad of insects and other creatures that emerge after dark. The diversity of life forms is awesome and each trip proves unique in terms of what we may encounter.
